About
Whilst living and working in the City of London, I took up ceramics as a hobby and quickly fell in love with the craft and the hands on process of of working with clay.
Mimi Made This is now based in my home studio in Manchester, creating ceramics which embody the meeting of cultures and landscapes. Each form is simple, functional and quietly expressive - reflecting the dual rhythm of belonging to two homes. Inspired by the rivers and earth of Bangladesh and the calm craft traditions of Britain, my work carries a gentle dialogue between heritage and modern life. Through clay I build a bridge, between memory and making, soil and story, home and heart.
My work primarily focuses on functional vessels for everyday use. Each piece is thoughtfully shaped, usually thrown on the wheel, glazed and finished by hand - celebrating organic forms, earthy textures and the charm of slow-made craft. I offer one-of-a-kind ceramics designed to bring warmth, artistry and a touch of joy to your daily routines.
